Pathways Home Health, Hospice & Private Duty is offering a Faith and Grief Workshop Book Club where attendees will explore the writings of people of deep faith who have also experienced profound grief. This workshop is in the book club format where attendees read one book in preparation for each session. There are a total of three evening sessions.
The Faith and Grief Workshop Book Club, led by Pathways Hospice bereavement staff, will be held on Tuesday, June 12, July 10 and August 7, 2012 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Pathways Hospice offices at 585 N. The books to be discussed are; A Grief Observed by C.S. Lewis, When Bad Things Happen to Good People by Harold s. Kushner, and A Grace Disguised by Jerry Sittser.
The Faith and Grief Workshop Book Club is one of ten workshops offered by Pathways Hospice as part of the Pathways 2012 Summer Grief Workshop Series. Other workshops include mediation, guided imagery, silent writing, memorial garden, and healing drum rhythms. These workshops provide several creative and reflective outlets to those grieving the loss of a loved one.
