Dream. Inspire. Design. Fashion Show Features Student Talent
150 garments created by students will be on display
Schaumburg, Ill. (Vocus/PRWEB ) August 18, 2009 -- The fourth annual fashion show presented by the students of the International Academy of Design & Technology (the Academy) - Schaumburg will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 8:00pm in the Schaumburg Prairie Center for Performing Arts. Tickets are $15.00. MC for the evening will be Matt Rodewald of NBC5.
Created entirely by students and faculty, this year's fashion show displays the depth and talent inside the walls of the Academy - from graphic design to photography, set construction, lighting, fashion conception and clothing production. Approximately 45 Fashion Design students have supplied all the garments. All students in the college have been invited to participate and will be models, stylists, and dressers. The categories of design include everything from evening wear to sleepwear and even a group of garments created from recycled materials.
"Each year we see inspired designs by our students," said Mark Holroyd, President of the Academy - Schaumburg. "But it is the collaboration by our students across programs and high level of participation that really makes this event unique."
The Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts is located at 201 Schaumburg Ct., Schaumburg, IL. VIP Reception is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Doors open to the General Public at 7:30 p.m. and show time is at 8:00 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, please call (847) 969-2800.
