Scottsdale, Arizona (PRWEB) December 30, 2015
2014 Phoenix Home & Garden Magazine Master of the Southwest Kenneth Ferguson (http://www.kennethfergusonfineart.com) and jewelry artist Diana Ferguson (http://www.dianafergusonjewelry.com) will show in the Celebration of Fine Art, which takes place under the big white tents from January 16 – March 27, 2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Both artists are residents of Phoenix, Arizona. This is the 10th year that Kenneth Ferguson and the 4th year that Diana Ferguson have participated in this prestigious, juried invitational art show and sale. Now in its 26th year, the Celebration of Fine Art is a fusion of art gallery, studio and show that brings 100 of the finest international and American artists to Scottsdale.
Kenneth Ferguson is known for his thoroughly researched, historically accurate storytelling portraits, which focus on historic Native American lifeways and material culture and 19th century military history. Ken has received numerous awards at juried fine art events around the country. Most recently, he was recognized by Phoenix Home & Garden Magazine as a 2014 Master of the Southwest. Kenneth received his BFA in Illustration from Northern Illinois University.
Diana Ferguson is known for her art jewelry, which she fashions from modest materials like mould-made, cotton rag paper and alternative metals. Her designs showcase bold shapes, collaged surfaces and exuberant colors. Diana has received numerous awards at juried fine art shows and has had her work published in Art Jewelry Magazine, Wirework Magazine and Lark Books’ 1000 Beads and Showcase: 500 Art Necklaces. Diana received her B.A. in Studio Art from Northern Illinois University.
“We are pleased to welcome Ken and Diana back to the 2016 Celebration of Fine Art. Part of the special signature of this event is that it offers a wide diversity of styles and types of art that is very high quality. Quite simply, we look for the best of the best in each style of work and bring them together in one impressive space. ” said Susan Morrow Potje, co-owner and show director.
The Celebration of Fine Art has been called “One of the West’s Premier Art Events” by Art & Antiques magazine. It attracts more than 50,000 visitors during the 10 weeks of the show. Over 40,000 square feet of artist’s studios can be found under the big white tents.
“The show has become a very special venue for artists and art lovers alike,” said Susan Morrow Potje. “It’s a place where creativity and conceptualization are fueled by curiosity and connectivity. It’s where art comes to life before your eyes.”
The Celebration of Fine Art includes painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, weavers, fiber artists, wood turners, and ceramicists working in various styles including realism, impressionism, Western, abstract and contemporary. The outdoor sculpture garden will hold nearly 100 life-sized and monumental sculptures, as well as shared work space where visitors can see welding, kiln firings, bronze pouring, and other demonstrations.
The show is open to guests of all ages. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and military, and children under 12 are free. Tickets are all-event passes, good for the entire 10-week show during which attendees will have the opportunity to meet the artists and see art transform.
“Absolutely fabulous show - especially to see the artists doing their work right in front of you. Phenomenal work. The best art show I’ve ever seen. Lucky me!” said a visitor from Chicago.
A café on site serves sandwiches, salads, and various beverages including beer and wine.
