"Our judging committee was unanimous on its selection of Regent Education for a number of reasons," said Rick Harris, Executive Director of the Tech Alliance of the Tech Council of Maryland. "This company has revolutionized the way financial aid is analyzed and dispersed in the United States. It has seen growth by more than 300 percent, which is phenomenal, by any standard and their products are truly breakthrough technology. Regent is a model for how to start and grow a business to meet a need."

Since 2006 Regent has tripled sales. Both awards were given based on the merits of advancement in technology, economical growth and community service.

“Regent is focused on creating a culture that attracts and retains the best and brightest team members around,” said Jessica Hibbard, Communications Director for the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce. “Even more than increased sales and rapid growth, their commitment to employees and customers impressed our selection committee making the company a clear choice for this award.”

Regent’s dedication to financial aid has yielded a category-leading, best of breed software platform recently nominated as a 2008 CODiE award finalist for Best Post-secondary Enterprise Solution.

“I am proud of what our team has accomplished over the last year,” said Hans Ziegler, Regent’s Chief Financial Officer who accepted the Firm of the Year award at a dinner held by the Tech Council of Maryland Wednesday evening and the Summit Award at a special luncheon held by the Chamber of Commerce on March 4th. “Our growth and success continues to exceed expectations, and Frederick is an ideal place for the company to further develop and do what we love most, serve higher education institutions.”
