The Certificates of Appreciation from Colonel Martinson of Fort Sam Houston were wonderful and appreciated surprises.
"I was impressed by the dedication and work that these Scouts put into this important project which helped honor our military personnel who are making huge sacrifices in the service of the Country," Pinder said. "The Certificates of Appreciation from Colonel Martinson of Fort Sam Houston were wonderful and appreciated surprises."

Girl Scout Junior Troop 376 of Cranford initiated and coordinated a project in support of our wounded soldiers and their families at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Fort Sam Houston's Brooke Army Medical Center. The Scouts' Hope is Sweet project collected over 800 hand-crafted cards of support from the children of Cranford to the soldiers during the last week of the 2007 school year.

Assisted by Diane Pinder, the Girl Scouts made chocolate-covered pretzels, dipped cookies and chocolate solids. Decorated in patriotic colors, these special treats were accompanied by the letters and phone cards for distribution to the soldiers and their families. Donna & Company donated the chocolate and shipping costs to help Troop 376 complete this project.

Fisher House Bars may be purchased at Donna & Company in Cranford, or on-line at Donna & Company, and proceeds from these sales go to support the work of the Fisher House Foundation.
