Terre Haute, Indiana (PRWEB) October 21, 2009 -- Halloween is on a Saturday this year, which could mean a rise in the number of auto accidents and injuries. To help prevent these accidents and ensure everyone has a happy and safe Halloween, the law office of Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin will provide the Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program for those who have been drinking or who don't feel they have a safe way to get home.
Halloween is on a Saturday this year, which means adult partygoers will be on the road the same night as young trick-or-treaters. Take extra caution and make sure this is a safe and happy Halloween for everyone.
"Helping ensure the safety of trick-or-treaters will take a combined effort from both motorists and parents," said Steve Fleschner, attorney and co-founder of Fleschner, Stark, Tanoos & Newlin. "The safe rides home are meant to protect not only those who are celebrating, but others on the road as well."
Free Rides Our Treat, No Trick
The Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program will be available from 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, through 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2009. To request a free cab ride home, call Yellow Cab of Terre Haute at (812) 478-5000 and tell them Fleschner Law is paying for your safe ride home.
Cab rides are provided from a bar or restaurant to an individual's residence in Terre Haute or West Terre Haute, Indiana--not to other drinking locations. Due to the high number of ride requests on Halloween, rides cannot be guaranteed for everyone who calls; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate everyone who requests a ride home. For the safety of all cab drivers, patrons are asked to remove any masks or facial coverings while riding in cabs. Drivers have the right to use their discretion when accepting fares.

Launched on New Year's Eve 2008, the Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program provides a safe transportation alternative during many of the traditionally high alcohol consumption holidays. Cab rides are made available on New Year's Eve, St. Patrick's Day, and Halloween to area residents who otherwise might attempt to drive home after drinking. Rides are provided to an individual's residence--not to other drinking locations.
