Lifelinks VRI Offers a Live Spanish and/or Russian Interpreter within Seconds, 24/7 Anywhere

Remarkably Lifelinks VRI is able to offer a live foreign language interpreter over any computer monitor requiring no expensive equipment, no lease, no minimum usage requirement, no bulky videoconferencing carts, and no significant expense. Installation time is 5-10 minutes.

(PRWEB) March 9, 2007 -- For the first time, a live Spanish or Russian interpreter is available 24/7 over any computer monitor equipped with a web cam and high speed broadband courtesy of Lifelinks VRI.

Some companies offer one or two languages over video
The cost is comparable to over-the-telephone interpreting and has the advantage of enabling the interpreter to see the body language of the foreign speaking person to better evaluate what the foreign speaking person is saying and, vice versa, it enables the foreign person to see a person from her/his homeland and thereby feel more comfortable. This is especially important in moments of crisis and suspicion such as in hospital emergency rooms, courts, immigration situations, police stations, social service agencies, urgicenters, doctor's offices, clinics, etc.

Lifelinks VRI is able to offer this service because of its unique instant connect technology, which enables the requesting party to see the image of the interpreter on their monitor, i.e. whether a male or female, request the interpreter of choice and have them appear within 10 seconds of selection.

Arabic, French, Italian, Chinese, Slavic languages, Korean, German, Hebrew, Urdu, Hindi, Albanian, Armenian, Cantonese, Croatian, Farsi, French Canadian, French Creole, Hindi, Japanese, Mandarin, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Samoan, Somali, Swahili, Tagalong, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese are all available on demand over video.

"Some companies offer one or two languages over video," says spokesperson Evan David, "but always there is expensive equipment and a long-term lease commitment in the mix; not so with Lifelinks VRI which offers 25 languages and no commitment or expensive hardware."

Lifelinks VRI's pricing is about half that of the competition. How can they do it? "Economies of scale," says Evan David.
