Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) September 05, 2013
Freedom Machine Tool, a division of Diversified Machine Systems (DMS), and Colorado Springs-based manufacturer of cutting systems for orthotic and prosthetic products will be exhibiting their Orthorout System at the AOPA O&P World Congress in Orlando, Florida, September 18 -21, 2013.
The American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA) O&P World Congress features leading companies and clinical education experts for the $95 billion, medical innovation industry.
The Orthorout System will be on display in booth #1408 with software and sales partners, Delcam and Mile High Orthotics. “It’s a great opportunity for prospects to see automated foot orthotic manufacturing,” states Bill Oberg, Sales Manager for Freedom Machine Tool. “Visitors can see foot scanning, software generated orthotic creation with corrections and preparations for machining, and finally the orthotics being cut on the Orthorout. If you have any questions or concerns about any part of the process, this is a great place to get answers.”
Freedom Machine Tool (FMT) is a Partner Solution, Open System (PSOS) company, which means that the focus is on building the best orthotic cutting system, leaving the scanner and software development to talented partners. Orthorout uses a standard cutting file format so any software company can output to the Orthorout system.
Freedom Machine Tool believes that companies that are considering an orthotic system should be able to choose scanners, software, and cutting systems from different companies, and seamlessly integrate them to achieve the best results for their businesses.
Instead of following the path of numerous Total Solution, Closed System (TSOS) companies, that require clients to purchase their scanner, software, and cutting systems, FMT believes in giving the freedom to choose these partners to the client. The AOPA O&P World Congress event partnership with Delcam and Mile High Orthotics shows the commitment from the developers of the Orthorout System to deliver a product that allows a client to produce all the orthotics they need after purchase without ongoing costs, and offers the flexibility to work with other orthotics service providers.
Some of the new developments to the Orthorout that will be released at the show will be an increased bridge tube size, aesthetic enhancements, and adoption of a total Fagor control with matching servo amplifiers and brushless AC servo motors that use absolute encoders. What it means to Othorout clients is a stronger system, a two-year parts warranty on the Fagor package, improved reliability with the absolute encoders, and greater standards acceptance throughout the world. Freedom Machine Tool is continuing to grow in international sales, and knew this was an important step in that process.
The Orthorout System will be giving live demos of the enhanced system in booth #1408.
