Author Bob Schieck believes that America has a different take on business from the rest of the world. But throughout the years America has steadily spread its business influences to the rest of the world. In “From the Grass Roots to Bamboo Shoots” (published by Xlibris) the author recounts his many experiences as an international businessman cultivating business relations with Asia-based companies.

“From the Grass Roots to Bamboo Shoots” is based on actual experiences of creating a manufacturing company for a U.S. Corporation in Asia to produce consumer electronics products: for radios and stereo Hi-Fi products. The author was the managing director and spent three years on site in Taiwan; with 20 subsequent years’ actual production and sales and marketing out of his U.S.A. company.

The essence of the story is to get the average U.S. citizen to understand the cultural and business philosophy differences between Asian and American cultures.
