FunQuest Adventures is taking the pressure off the shoulders of singles this Valentine’s Day with its Valentine’s Wine Mixer at Trisler’s Wine Bar on February 14.
“Too much pressure is put on singles to find a date on Valentine’s Day ,” says Dan Halbert, co-founder and CEO of FunQuest Adventures. “This year, if people in the San Diego area don’t have a date, they can celebrate! FunQuest’s mixers and other events let people rejoice in singlehood.”
FunQuest has a great wine mixer planned for February 14. Attendees will meet age-appropriate singles while enjoying some great wine. No pressure, no speed dating -- just good wine and good conversation.
Every month, FunQuest plans more than 20 fun-filled events for the single professional. In February, in addition to the Valentine’s Day mixer, FunQuest is featuring a ski and snowboard trip to Big Bear. Other common events include dinners, hikes, wine tastings and theme parties. The company’s action-packed calendar of events has something for everyone, and gives members the opportunity to get to know each other before dating.
FunQuest provides a fun, safe alternative to matchmaking and dating services on the Internet. In a world where Internet dating, and Internet predators, seem to be the norm, FunQuest is turning the tides and bringing back the face-to-face meeting, which is much more effective and safe. All potential members must complete a background check to help assure the quality of membership.
“FunQuest is definitely not a dating service,” Halbert says. “We are an affordable, safe alternative focused on events and friendships. Of course, when you put hundreds of singles together in a group environment, dating does happen, but in a much more natural environment, with no pressure.”
Many FunQuest members are people who have recently gotten out of a long term relationship and just want to get out of the house and start rebuilding their lives. Other clients are newly relocated to San Diego, while still others just want to expand their social circles. FunQuest Adventures membership ranges from $20-$40 per month, with no long-term commitments. Individuals can join FunQuest by either being sponsored by a current member or meeting with a membership counselor. The company also offers group discounts on many events, so saving money is also a good reason to join.
