Museum guests are sophisticated and the methods to convey science and learning to the masses need to support that mission through technology – FUNA is the company to support this mission.

The American Alliance of Museums is an organization dedicated to supporting the growth of all museums through advocacy, development of standards and best practices, and by providing advocacy resources. As such, they conduct the annual MuseumExpo in Atlanta to facilitate communication between museums, exhibit design professionals, curators, and technology vendors.

FUNA International, largely known for their work in theme parks, sports venues and cruise industries, will participate in the MuseumExpo as a first-time exhibitor. “FUNA is expanding its business interests in North America at an ideal time,” says Sean Reish, VP of Sales at FUNA. “Museum guests are sophisticated and the methods to convey science and learning to the masses need to support that mission through technology – FUNA is the company to support this mission.”

Much of the technology FUNA has implemented for their Themed and Cruise clientele is designed to create an interactive or an immersive customer experience. These solutions are very specialized, but highly adaptable when being engineered and installed by an experienced team.

“Emerging technologies and interactive capabilities, which guests are enjoying in the themed market, are posturing the museums for the same value and experience at a more local level,” added Reish. “It’s both impressive and exciting to see the technologies we have provided to the themed market worldwide, being implemented in museums where the technology is used to assist in education.”

The MusemExpo will be held in the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, from April 27th - 29th. Be sure to visit the FUNA International booth #934 for demonstrations of how theme park and cruise technologies can be applied to enhance the museum experience.
