After a trip to visit Earth, Furdiburb's parents mistakenly leave their baby alien behind. Players adopt and care for their pet by cleaning, feeding, and caring for him should he become ill. Furdiburb's house, furniture, and looks are customizable with amusing items. The main object of the game is for the player to play mini-games, travel around the colorful lands, and solve puzzles in order to gather parts and fix up a broken spaceship to help the alien home.
Over the past few months, Furdiburb has received many updates adding new content including original music created by Alice Lo, composer and developer at Sheado.net. Each song has been tailored specifically to the scene and gameplay it is associated with. With nearly a dozen unique songs and many fans of the music, the Furdiburb team decided it was time to offer the collection in an official soundtrack album. Fans can now listen to the songs for free on BandCamp, purchase copies of the tracks they like, or pre-order the entire album at a discounted rate.
In addition to the original music, the soundtrack also includes remastered high quality versions of many of the tracks. These songs feature higher fidelity and finer instruments than the originals, which were restricted to a lower quality sound in order to meet mobile phone conditions such as limited disk space.
"Most mobile phone MIDI instruments sound cheesy and inconsistent," commented Alice. "I am often mortified when hearing the same song play on different phones. So in my spare time, I started working on higher quality versions of the songs. As of right now, I have four of the songs finished, and all of the MIDIs will be available in the album. Moving forward, I will analyze the listening patterns on Bandcamp to determine which songs are popular and work on them next."
The game itself is still in beta, so the music album is a work-in-progress. As new songs are remastered they will be added to the Bandcamp soundtrack, giving fans access to the latest songs as soon as possible.
