LAPORTE, Texas (PRWEB) May 22, 2012
GEM Mobile Treatment Services, a service provider for the petroleum, refining and petrochemical manufacturing industries, is pleased to announce they have been honored with two safety awards from the Industrial Safety Training Council of Southeast Texas (ISTC).
ISTC is a nonprofit training and education organization that has developed a safety awards program to promote safety and prevent accidents in the petroleum, refining and petrochemical manufacturing industries. In addition to these awards, ISTC also offers site-specific orientations and safety training.
GEM’s two awards were directly related to safety in the workplace. The first award presented to GEM was in honor of no OSHA lost workday cases involving days away from work for seven years. The second award was for sustaining a “zero” recordable incident rate for the past three years.
“We are very proud of our Gulf-based team,” said Larry Prahin, general manager of GEM’s Gulf Coast operations. “These awards validate that our daily emphasis on safe work practices truly pays off. We owe special thanks to the GEM Safety & Compliance department managed by Brandon Denbow and Pam Patterson, who go above and beyond to ensure our staff is well-versed in safety.”
These awards help reinforce that GEM is an industry leader. Learn more about GEM by visiting their website or reading their blog.
