Dance therapy can help children manage pain and other symptoms, increase their self-esteem and body image, develop great communication skills and relationships, and create new ways of coping with problems.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) March 12, 2014
In keeping with its mission to inspire change and build communities through the power of dance, GROOV3 is hosting its quarterly Dance, Sweat, Give (DSG) on Sunday, March 16 2014, benefitting local dance therapy programs at Children's Hospital Los Angeles and Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA.
As a service to the community, GROOV3 partners with different charities/organizations to give back and increase awareness. This Dance, Sweat, Give will be a one-hour class with simple combinations designed for all levels, a live DJ, raffle give-aways, and MORE! DSG is a great event for the family and ALL proceeds will benefit Operation: UNITE (@OperationUnite) to support dance/movement, expressive therapy for children with cancer and special needs. Dance therapy can help children manage pain and other symptoms, increase their self-esteem and body image, develop great communication skills and relationships, and create new ways of coping with problems.
Attendees will be contributing to a wonderful cause, supporting the healing power of the arts. All are invited to join GROOV3 and Operation: Unite in "taking the FIGHT against CANCER to the DANCE floor" – “cancer won’t win”!
