The staff members at GardenToolbox have never shied away from adding new products to the website that could potentially benefit customers and this situation is no different. With spring and some potentially good gardening weather lurking just around the corner, now is the perfect time to buy some essential garden tools.
For those that have used the website in the past, it goes without saying that the GardenToolbox site is well stocked with a wide selection of products that can be used to carry out a variety of tasks.
However, as with every website, there’s always some room for improvement. After an analysis of their current product line, the team managed to identify some areas where there wasn’t enough choice for shoppers. Lee Taylor, General Manager at GardenToolbox explains this further.
“Our analysis was conducted by hand rather than using any automated software and this allowed us to delve into various regions of our website and see it through a shopper’s eyes. After several runs through the site by different testers we managed to identify a weakness in our lawn rakes/scarifiers section which we have since improved.”
Lawn rakes & scarifiers have been proven to be extremely beneficial in keeping grass healthy since they remove all the unwanted debris such as moss and thatch. This in turn will encourage the lawn to grow back healthier as all the dead material and debris will have been removed.
Lee added: “The range we’ve added includes some big brand names and a variety of prices which should cater to all shoppers, regardless of budget. So far, our best seller is the Flymo Lawnrake with the Black & Decker raker not far behind. As the year goes on, these may change around, but it will certainly be interesting to see which takes the fancy of the buyers!”
GardenToolbox.co.uk currently operates on the constantly growing Online Home Retail Network. At present, the network hosts in excess of 50 bespoke websites all tailored towards different niches. These sites sell everything from power tools and lawnmowers all the way to the Triton showers which can be found here: http://www.triton-shower-shop.co.uk/. The Online Home Retail group first started out as Plumbworld Ltd back in 1999 and since then it has been bought by the Grafton Group PLC in 2006 and received a major rebrand in 2012. The business now employs 60 people in its purpose built warehouse/offices and has a total turnover nearing £25 million per year.
