Stamford, CT (PRWEB) September 14, 2012
Entertainment journalist, fashion & beauty expert and television personality Giuliana Rancic will bring a girls’ night out to the Palace Theatre in Stamford. The talk titled “Taking Control of Your Destiny: The Power of a Positive Attitude” will be on Saturday, October 13th, 2012 at 8 PM. The evening is presented by Stamford Center for the Arts in partnership with Stamford Hospital’s Bennett Cancer Center as part of its annual Paint the Town Pink breast cancer awareness campaign. $10 from each ticket sold will be donated to Paint the Town Pink. Enjoy a pre-show happy hour hosted by Butterfield 8 Restaurant & Lounge on nearby Bedford Street starting at 6 pm. Present your Palace Theatre ticket and enjoy free appetizers and half-price drinks. Tickets are on sale now. The 2012-2013 season is made possible through the generosity of SCA’s Season Sponsors Seaboard Properties, Inc. and The Whittingham Family.
Giuliana Rancic is the anchor of E! News, co-star of E!’s hugely popular Fashion Police team and has been on the red carpet for every mega-event in the entertainment industry (Oscars, Grammy Awards, Golden Globes) interviewing the stars and getting breaking Hollywood scoop as well as fashion tips, diet and fitness advice, travel tips and all things pop culture.
At the podium, Rancic teaches women to focus on the positive and use their attitude to manage their emotional pain. A pillar of strength, Rancic motivates audiences by opening up about her own bout with breast cancer, connecting with them on a personal level, encouraging them to take control of their health and their futures.
“We are so proud to be partnering with the Bennett Cancer Center’s Paint the Town Pink breast cancer awareness campaign,” said SCA Executive Director Elissa O. Getto. “Community partnerships are so important when trying to raise awareness. The Bennett Cancer Center does a tremendous job with this campaign each year, and we feel honored to be able to give back to the community through this event and through the real life survival story of Giuliana Rancic.”
”Over the years, the Paint the Town Pink campaign has been very successful in raising awareness about the importance of breast cancer screening and early detection, as well as celebrating the lives of those who have been touched by the disease,” said Stamford Hospital’s Cancer Service Line Director Liz Manfredo. “We believe that Giuliana will resonate with our audience, inspire other women and extend awareness for a cause that touches so many of our lives.”
