Nashville, TN (PRWEB) November 19, 2008 -- Giving Tree, LLC, a social enterprise in the stored-value card market, announced today the signings of several new nonprofit affiliate partnerships that will support the fundraising efforts of a diverse set of charities. Americorps Alums, CancerCare, Central Dallas Ministries and EarthCorps will each begin to offer a co-branded version of Giving Tree's GiveCard® to their supporters in an effort to raise additional funding this holiday season and beyond.
The GiveCard, a prepaid VISA® gift card, allows the card recipient to donate 10% of the card's value to their favorite charity from Giving Tree's database of over 1 million nonprofits. They then spend the remaining 90% of the card's value like cash wherever VISA debit cards are accepted. Giving Tree affiliates partners directly receive the donations from sales of their branded cards. "At Giving Tree, sharing is the foundation of our business model.
