Natalia Flores- signed to Carrillo Music - releases her first official single as a solo artist- "Going Strong" - on itunes and worldwide. Following up the success of her collaboration with Dave Matthias for the single "Angel on the Dancefloor," which rapidly climbed the Billboard Dance Club charts to #23, "Going Strong' offers an impressive assortment of remixes from an all-star lineup of dance industry veterans, including Scumfrog, Peter Barona, Edson Pride, Dave Matthias, Cody Williams, Rod Carrillo and The Grower.
Raised in Guatemala and now residing in Los Angeles, CA, Natalia Flores' strong vocals and innate writing abilities caught the attention of dance music icon and producer Rod Carrillo in 2009, and since, the duo has worked to create a unique dance sound for the "Going Strong" single. "It's a track that is very close to my heart. I wrote it as an anthem of encouragement at a time when I felt my life was heading in a new direction," says Natalia of the single. "I wanted to remind myself that no matter what comes my way, I'm going to keep on going, and nothing will ever hold me back." Gaining much attention for her work on the single "Angel on the Dancefloor," Natalia continues to attract a growing fan base, and plans to release her first full-length album, tentatively titled "Azucarena," in 2011. "Angel happened so fast," she recalls, "When it made it to the charts and broke into the top 25 it was hard to believe and such an amazing feeling. I can only hope to have similar success with "Going Strong."
Remixes for both "Angel on the Dancefloor" and "Going Strong" (as of August 19th) are available on itunes, and "Going Strong" continues to garner industry attention as it climbs play charts in various markets across the country-resulting from its pre-release in early august. Miss Flores, who will continue to perform at select venues to promote the new single, also continues to expand her career as a model and actress- with appearances on such shows as "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," and in ads for companies like Nike and Paul Mitchell.
