On January 15th, 2013, TheGrint will begin charging for its Scorecard Picture Service. However, all members will continue to enjoy all of the Golf Handicap Tracker features on the website at no cost.

The company has also decided to give “Founding Member” status for life to everyone who registered before January 15th to demonstrate the appreciation for those users who trusted TheGrint since its beginning in May 2012. Founding Member status means that the users will enjoy all of the Golf Handicap Calculator features plus the Scorecard Picture Service at no cost for life.

TheGrint membership options will consists of 2 levels:

The “Blue Membership” will cost 3.99 if paid monthly, or the discounted price of 39 if paid yearly. It will allow golfers 4 uploads per month.

The “Gold Membership” will cost 6.99 if paid monthly, or the discounted price of 69 if paid yearly. It will allow golfers 6 priority uploads per month (priority uploads gets first in line for processing).

All users with “Founding Member” status will get the “Blue Membership” at no cost.

With this decision, TheGrint will begin to charge for the service, however the main features of the website and official USGA Handicaps will remain no cost.
