Ft. Worth, TX (PRWEB) May 14, 2012
Gorrondona & Associates, Inc., is pleased to announce the acquisition of Williams-Stackhouse Incorporated, a San Antonio-based firm specializing in aerial, photogrammetric mapping, and related services. The transaction closed on May 3, 2012 following a due diligence process and integration planning between the two firms.
“After taking a close look at WSI’s operations, it quickly became apparent that they are a perfect fit to help Gorrondona achieve our 2015 strategic direction,” said Brad Gorrondona, president. “WSI will bring aerial survey services, as well as strong existing relationships with clients in the federal, state, municipal, engineering, and transportation markets. Together, we’ll be better able to serve our collective clients throughout Texas and surrounding states.”
Founded in 1960, WSI’s photogrammetric mapping services have grown steadily to encompass everything from Precision Aerial Photography with Airborne GPS, LiDAR, Photogrammetric Control Surveys, Digital Planimetric and Topographic Mapping, Digital Terrain Models, Cross Sections and Volumetric Calculations, Image Scanning, Digital Orthophotography and GIS/LIS Services. At the time of the acquisition, WSI employed 14 professionals; all of which will be retained and work under the Gorrondona name out of WSI’s existing San Antonio office. The merger of these two firms brings Gorrondona's employee count to 122.
