The annual fee is $200 for government entities with a population of less than 30,000 people; pricing for larger entities is based on population. In 2008 municibid.com will launch an innovative new service called "municibid Reverse," which will enable municipalities and other government entities to list products they want to purchase and have vendors compete in real-time via the municibid online reverse auction platform to provide those products at the lowest possible price. A reverse auction is where bidders provide bids or "offers" that are lower than the auction starting price or the next highest bid.
