GOGII Launches textPlus Application on Apple App Store
Free, Unlimited Messaging and First-of-Its-Kind Group Text Conversations for iPhone and iPod touch
Marina del Rey, Calif. (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 3, 2009 -- GOGII, Inc., a Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers iFund company and platform innovator focused on messaging technology and applications, today announced its textPlus application is now available on the Apple App Store. The unique textPlus app brings free and unlimited messaging to iPhone and iPod touch and allows consumers to have real group "conversations" in text.
"We're excited consumers can use textPlus to easily create and manage group text conversations with as many or as few people as they choose, in addition to one-to-one communication," said Scott Lahman, CEO and co-founder, GOGII. "textPlus for iPhone and iPod touch brings more fun, social and useful functionality to text and is the first step toward what we believe is the future of messaging."
By leveraging GOGII's interactive messaging technology, textPlus allows for standard one-to-one text messaging and now lets consumers set-up instant text group conversations. A useful 'reply-all' feature, similar to email, makes it easier to organize plans with several friends at the same time, introduce people to each other or just carry on a group conversation - all in text and all for free.
Additional features include landscape keyboard mode, which makes it easier and faster to write texts, and Notifications to let users know when they have received messages, even when they are not using the application. textPlus also provides a seamless experience for users to interact with their friends who use standard text messaging.
The textPlus application is available for free from Apple's App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.
Standard text message rates apply only when using optional notifications.
