Author Harriet Cameron and illustrator Lise' C. Miller combine colorful illustrations with an engaging narrative to tell the story of a little mouse who learns a big lesson about bullying in “Chipper and the Prince” (published by Trafford Publishing).

Bullying seems to be the top subject in the children’s world,” observes Cameron, who taught elementary school and witnessed bullying herself. “It needs to be stopped, and the earlier it is addressed, the better.”

Chipper is a mouse with a very big secret. When he finally tells his secret to his friends, they laugh at him and tease him. Sad and alone, Chipper meets a prince who changes everyone’s attitudes very quickly.

Through “Chipper and the Prince,” young readers will learn a valuable lesson in honesty, self-worth and bullying. Cameron hopes her book will begin a discussion about bullying between parents and their children.
