Started as an LLC in the mid-80s, Healthcare Synergy, Inc. became a California-based C-corporation on October 10, 1993. As HealthCare Synergy continues to be a stable active player in the post-acute software and service industry, it proudly celebrates a significant milestone: its 20th year anniversary in the ever-changing healthcare market.
In preparation to meet health care reform challenges in the next 20 years, HealthCare Synergy is adapting to deliver managed services, care management resources, new automation tools, customer service, technical support, and training to properly implement its growing legacy and web-based software offerings.
HealthCare Synergy remains to be a privately-held company with dynamic management, versatile employees, and consultants that possess over two decades of home health industry expertise. A unique SMB with third-party vendor partnerships, such as with Home Health Gold, ABILITY, and Great Lakes Health Information Exchange, HealthCare Synergy has continued with progressive improvements and a growth path that prepares their clients to the forthcoming health care reform changes. The company is headquartered in Cypress, California with consultants and offices in key US states.
“We are excited in releasing our new web-based software application, the HealthCare Assistant Web Edition, which is geared to be implemented and utilized by consultants and users as a tool in working in the Accountable Care Organization (ACO), Community-Based Organization (CBO), and Managed Care environment,” says Jude Mercado, CEO of HealthCare Synergy Inc., “We want to transform Healthcare Synergy and its key affiliate partners as a resource to ensure the existence and growth of its clients by embedding our staff and automation tools with Primary Care Providers, ACOs, and Managed Care providers through Healthcare Information Exchanges and Educational Compliance Group.”
The HealthCare Synergy flagship application, the HealthCare Assistant, is a proven health care office automation software used by nearly 1,500 home health, hospice, outpatient rehab, Part B & private duty providers today. HealthCare Assistant users can have a seamless data migration path to the HealthCare Assistant Web Edition, which will have a web-based payroll and a full accounting system interfaces (ADP; QuickBooks; Xero).
"Twenty years ago, this company was founded on a vision of automating the mundane and often manual process of medical billing. As we have evolved over this time, we have seen drastic industry changes, like the introduction of PPS a decade ago, and now looking at post-acute care bundling, care management, and other reforms for our industry. We are evolving our software as well to a new clinical platform, tools that are and will continue to help our clients in providing the highest quality of care and documentation for their patients," says Mike Deck, Project Manager for the Healthcare Assistant Web Edition.
Using a new intuitive and feature-rich browser interface, the HealthCare Assistant Web Edition includes a new platform that enables users to utilize the same billing engine, business rules, and database that the HealthCare Assistant does, but with a new module for patient documentation. Planned for release in the last quarter of 2013, HealthCare Assistant Web Edition will also include private duty nursing, hospice, outpatient therapy, Medicare/Medicaid, MSP, and Part B billing.
