“Our goal at Health Education Solutions is to offer high quality online courses to health care professionals who are looking to advance or enhance their skills,” said David King, president of Health Education Solutions. “The approval from AAPA ensures that physician assistants get the appropriate continuing medical education units for successfully completing the ACLS provider and recertification courses, helping them fulfill important professional development requirements.”

All critical care medical professionals who initiate and direct advanced life support in medical emergencies, including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, emergency medical technicians, paramedics, and respiratory therapists, are required to be certified in ACLS standards every two years. The ACLS certification course improves the skills healthcare providers use to treat adults in cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.

The American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) is the only national professional association that represents all physician assistants across all medical and surgical specialties in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, the armed forces, and the federal services. Founded in 1968 to support the growing PA profession, AAPA works to increase the professional and personal growth of the more than 73,000 physician assistants in practice today through a range of information, advocacy and other services.
