Dallas, TX (Vocus/PRWEB) December 02, 2010

The Cardiology Lab at HeartFirst was granted accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation for Cardiac PET. The laboratory is one of a hand full of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging centers in North America being recognized for high quality patient care and quality diagnostic testing.

“The accreditation from the ICANL shows our commitment to excellence as we add the best stress test available,” says Dr. James Rellas, founder of HeartFirst. “Cardiac PET has always been the gold standard in cardiology and is now available in a few office settings. Patients with equivocal stress echo, equivocal nuclear stress testing, and those with BMI over 40 can be pre-certified for this procedure.”
