I hope that my efforts will inspire others, especially those facing adversity, to never give up and to overcome all obstacles.

Inspiring athlete and spokesperson for Novation Settlement Solutions Hector Picard became the first double amputee to be inducted into the USA Triathlon Florida Region Hall of Fame this Tuesday (Sept 27). Renowned motivational speaker and leader of the #RacingForTrueChampions campaign, Hector was recognized for his athletic abilities, positive impact and remarkable contributions to the sport of triathlon.
The formal induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 10 at 6 p.m. at the Rosen Inn Hotel in Orlando, FL
“I am incredibly honored and humbled to be inducted into the USA Triathlon Florida Hall of Fame,” said Hector Picard. “We all face different challenges in life, and sometimes it is easy to get discouraged. But I hope that my efforts will inspire others, especially those facing adversity, to never give up and to overcome all obstacles.”
Hector will depart next week for an attempt at becoming the first double-arm amputee ever to complete the grueling Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. As part of his #RacingForTrueChampions campaign, Hector will dedicate this seemingly impossible feat to helping sick children at Broward Children’s Center and raising crucial funds for the facility.
Hector is sponsored by and serves as a spokesperson for West Palm Beach-based Novation Settlement Solutions. He often credits the company for helping him launch his “second chance” at life as a triathlete and motivational speaker following the life-altering accident, which led to the loss of his limbs.
In the run-up to the Ironman, Hector is available for interviews. To schedule, please contact Vlad Drazdovich at vlad(at)redbanyan(dot)com or 954-379-2115 x406.
