Bemz Features People, Their IKEA Sofas and Their Slipcovers in 'My Home, My Way' Contest

Woodside, Calif. (Vocus/PRWEB ) November 5, 2008 -- The people at Bemz, the Swedish company that breathes new life into IKEA sofas and chairs, are eager to see how Bemz customers have enhanced their décor with a stylish Bemz slipcover. That's why they've launched the "My Home, My Way" contest at the Bemz blog, It's a Cover-Up.
To enter, Bemz customers just send a picture of their sofa, chair or cushion with a Bemz slipcover, showing how it enhances their décor. Along with the picture, entrants must finish the sentence: "Bemz helped make my home my way...".
Each week, the top five entries will be featured on the Bemz blog: http://bemz.typepad.com/itsacoverup/. Bemz is giving away two cushion covers each month to randomly selected entrants, and each month's top entries automatically enter a free prize draw for a chance to win a $700 shopping spree at Bemz. Entries from all over the world are welcome.
So how does it work?
All entries will be reviewed by a panel of Bemz judges who will decide which five entries to post on It's a Cover Up. Then, Bemz blog readers will be able to choose their favorite from each week. Finally, at the end of the submission process (March 2009), the three entries most favored by readers will be assessed and a grand prize winner will be chosen by a panel of independent judges from some cool design and shelter blogs:
The winner selected by this panel will receive the grand prize: a $700* shopping spree at Bemz. (5000 SEK, €500, £400, CND$800.)
How do I enter?
1. Take a photo of your Bemz slipcover on your furniture. It's best to take it in daylight. Try to compose the photo so we can see your sofa/armchair in the context of the style elements in the room.
2. Complete the sentence "Bemz helped make my home my way..."
3. Make sure you include your name, address and phone number.
4. Send your photo (high resolution) and the above details to bemzmyway@bemz.com with My Home, My Way in the email subject line. Bemz must receive it no later than March 31, 2009 (but the sooner the better, so you can qualify for the monthly prize draw).
5. Then, follow it all live on the Bemz blog, where you and your friends can vote on all the entries. (Tip - spread the word and tell your friends to vote!)
