InVitria to Showcase its Innovative Cell Culture Components at American Society of Cell Biology Annual Meeting

Innovator of animal free and defined cell culture media components will feature its productivity maximizing products at ASCB Meeting in San Francisco Dec. 13-17, 2008.

Fort Collins, CO (PRWEB) November 12, 2008 -- InVitria InVitria announced today that it will showcase its innovative product line at the 48th Annual American Society of Cell Biology Meeting on Dec. 13-17 in San Francisco, CA. InVitria provides animal free and defined cell culture media components that are used by leading biopharmaceutical, stem cell and regenerative medicine companies around the globe.

Considered one of the largest and most diverse gatherings of the cell biology community, this year's American Society of Cell Biology (ASCB) Annual Meeting will feature over 3,500 scientific poster presentations, 350 commercial exhibits and100 learning sessions.

With a primary focus of this year's ASCB Annual Meeting being the sharing of new scientific developments in the field of cell biology, we feel that attendees will be impressed at how InVitria's products benefit the cell culture industry and the work of ASCB members
InVitria will showcase its product line at an exhibit booth that will provide attendees the opportunity to learn about the capabilities of InVitria's safe, reliable and productive cell culture media components. InVitria's Cellastim (recombinant albumin) and Lacromin (recombinant lactoferrin) products have shown to be powerful cell culture media enhancers.

Data from a recent study showed that Cellastim is a robust supplement for CHO media and can improve both the growth kinetics and productivity of CHO cell lines. Tests have also shown that Cellastim outperforms plasma-derived human serum albumin and can result in an average 50% increase in productivity across a variety of chemically defined cell culture media.

A global collaborative research study found that Lacromin boosts productivity in mammalian cell culture. Additionally, it was revealed that Lacromin promotes cell growth and productivity in a variety of cell lines and also improves antibody product yields in mammalian cell culture (1).

"With a primary focus of this year's ASCB Annual Meeting being the sharing of new scientific developments in the field of cell biology, we feel that attendees will be impressed at how InVitria's products benefit the cell culture industry and the work of ASCB members," said Scott Deeter, InVitria president. "We are pleased to be able to share with the cell biology community the key features of our cell culture media components, which are safety, productivity and speed to market."
