NU Hotel Brooklyn, a member of HHM’s Independent Collection, is hosting the official after-party for the American Cancer Society’s 6th Annual Eat, Drink & Be Hopeful benefit. The event will be held this evening at Misdemeanor, NU Hotel Brooklyn’s recently opened sidewalk café. Grammy Award Winning Artist Macy Gray will be the disc jockey for this VIP event -- 100 percent of the ticket sales will benefit the American Cancer Society.
The after-party, which will take place from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., will feature light fare and an open bar for the first two hours, presented by Brooklyn Brewery, Misdemeanor and Hempnotic. Misdemeanor’s Chef Jehangir Mehta, best known for his Manhattan restaurants Graffiti and Mehtaphor, is preparing one of the cafe’s most popular tapas, Chili Thyme Cashews. Brooklyn's Fisherman's Dawta is providing a selection of Jamaican appetizers along with desserts provided by Brown Butter Brooklyn.

In addition to donating the venue space, NU Hotel Brooklyn is providing a number of rooms for special guests and Catch a Dream staff associated with planning the event.
Eat, Drink & Be Hopeful benefit event is being held at The Irondale Theater, 85 South Oxford St., Brooklyn. The borough’s best restaurants have donated tasting dishes. And, wineries from New York and beyond are providing their best wines. VIP tickets for the event are $125 and general admission tickets are $100. VIP ticket holders will be admitted to the event at 6 p.m., one hour prior to general admission, and can receive a free celebrity makeover sponsored by Naphia's Healthy Beautiful Hair.
