InkHead Gives Generously to Charitable Donations

InkHead recently announced the total of their charitable donations amounted to over $20,000 worth of merchandise in the last year. InkHead Promotional Products has always supported good causes, especially organizations that require goods from their product line.

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) March 31, 2008 -- InkHead recently announced the total of their charitable donations amounted to over $20,000 worth of merchandise in the last year. InkHead Promotional Products has always supported good causes, especially organizations that require goods from their product line. The donations were given largely to two registered U.S. charities, Goodwill Stores and Operation Gratitude. InkHead encourages other companies to donate and support these good causes to not only assist these organizations in need, but to also receive the benefits of tax breaks and positive publicity.

InkHead donated over 8,000 items to Operation Gratitude, a non-profit organization designed to support U.S. Troops stationed overseas. Operation Gratitude's mission is to lift the morale of soldiers stationed in some of the harshest areas of the world. The charity assembles care packages that can include: food, toiletries, luxury products, entertainment items, and personal letters of appreciation. InkHead donated a wide variety of products including: mugs, water bottles, promotional pens, promotional pencils, memo holders, stress balls, and tote bags. Because of the assortment of contents in the packages, InkHead believes Operation Gratitude is an easy charity to find related products that would bring a smile to troops living away from their family and risking their lives for their country.

Goodwill Stores received over $18,000 worth of merchandise that will be used by the charity and sold in the stores, generating income for the worthwhile cause. The products included an ample selection of: pens and pencils, drink ware, tote bags, CRT monitors, fleece jackets, t shirts, dress shirts, ball caps, and more. Goodwill Stores are the leading non-profit provider of education, training, and career services for North Americans with disadvantages. The charity assists people in various situations such as: welfare dependency, homelessness, and lack of education or work experience, as well as those with physical, mental and emotional disabilities. Last year, local Goodwills cooperatively provided employment and training services to more than 930,775 individuals, providing a chance to build self-confidence, independence, creativity, trust, and friendships through work.

Goodwill Stores, Operation Gratitude, and other registered charities rely solely on donations and volunteers. That is why InkHead hopes to set a positive example for other companies looking to make a difference through corporate donations and by raising awareness. While most agree that it feels better to give than to receive, philanthropy in the U.S. is facilitated with convenient tax breaks and kind publicity.

InkHead recognizes that donating should not be limited to large organizations. Contributions can make a large difference for local schools and community groups for both the beneficiary and the philanthropist. Last year, InkHead offered 300 lanyards to an Atlanta school. Fourth graders sold the lanyards to teachers and students for a fundraiser to buy new playground equipment at the Easton Playground and Park on Idlewild Ave., in Easton, MD. InkHead also contributed to the American Heart Association in Athens, GA by donating 500 bottles of water in August, 2007 as a joint sponsorship between Carrabba's Italian Grill, Wachovia, and InkHead Promotional Products.

InkHead.com was awarded the second fastest growing online promotional products distributor since 2007. The company's corporate office is located at Winder, GA.
