One of America's leading inventor companies, InventHelp is submitting the BODY GUARD to companies for their review.

Despite the flashing lights that police cars use to alert approaching vehicles of their presence at a roadside stop, crashes at these scenes are not uncommon. Luckily, inventors from Minneapolis, Minn., has found a way to protect law enforcement officials from being hit while on a traffic stop.

They developed the patent-pending BODY GUARD to keep passing traffic from getting too close to a public safety and/or service vehicle stopped on or near a roadway. As such, it improves highway safety by reducing automobile accidents. Thus, it lowers the incidence of automobile-related injuries and deaths. At the same time, it reduces the amount of property damage incurred from motor vehicle crashes. As a result, it diminishes the number of auto insurance claims filed. It is also convenient, effective and easy to operate. In addition, it is durable, weatherproof and highly visible.

The inventor’s concern with the danger of vehicles stopped on the highway inspired the idea. “Too many law enforcement officers were getting injured by moving cars during highway stops. With this idea, he felt that passing traffic will no longer be a hazard."

The original design was submitted to the Minneapolis office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
