An inventor, from Coral Gables, Fla., thought there needed to be a safe and effective way to teach beginning weightlifters proper form and technique, so he invented the patent-pending LIGHT BAR.
The LIGHT BAR enables beginning weightlifters to safely practice weightlifting exercises and focus on proper technique. In doing so, it could help to prevent injuries. As a result, it enhances safety. The invention features a lightweight design that is convenient and easy to use so it is suitable for everyone but ideal for use by beginner or novice weightlifters. Additionally, the LIGHT BAR is producible in design variations and a prototype is available.
The inventor described the invention design. “My design offers a safer way for beginning weightlifters to practice weightlifting exercises. It also can be used for the general population. Novice users will use it to learn proper technique and experience an almost identical feel of a real barbell. Experienced users will use it to hone their craft and even to warm up. This invention is an ideal tool for any coach or personal trainer when training beginner weightlifters. It shows that the coach or trainer is prepared to teach and that proper form, technique and safety are his or her priority. The LIGHT BAR also can be used by children and/or anyone who has been injured and rehabilitated. The elderly are no exception. The LIGHT BAR is perfect for elderly people who still want to work out yet maintain proper form and safety.”
The original design was submitted to the Hollywood/Miami office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
