Pittsburgh-based InventHelp is working to submit the Mirror Image to applicable companies for their consideration and potential feedback.

"I am a disabled vet, and I have a severe limitation with regard to turning my head," said an inventor from Beeville, Texas. "One day I was hunting on a 4-wheeler, and I did not even know that there was danger behind me. This close call inspired me to invent this device."

He created a prototype for the Mirror Image to provide a convenient way to check what is going on behind you. The accessory limits the need to turn your head in order to look back, thereby enhancing stealth. The device alerts the user to danger behind him or her. It is usable by hunters, bicyclists, joggers, military, law enforcement and others. The invention is designed to enhance personal safety and offers added peace of mind. Furthermore, it is ideal for use by individuals with limited mobility.

The original design was submitted to the Austin office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
