Two InventHelp Clients Create Dual-Purpose Disposable Dinnerware (CCP-1150)
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) November 18, 2016 -- A married couple from St. Charles, Ill., were looking for a way to make disposable paper or foam plates more useful and convenient. As such, they designed the patent-pending Platemates "Serve & Store" – disposable plates that can also be used as food storage containers.
Platemates "Serve & Store" would eliminate the need to place non-liquid leftovers in food storage containers or be wrapped leftovers in foil or plastic. This saves time, money and effort, and enhances convenience. It would also eliminate the need to wash plastic food containers after use and would save space when storing leftovers in refrigerators.
The inventors were inspired by noticing how frequently disposable plates are used at picnics, tailgating parties, and other such gatherings. “We wanted to design disposable dinnerware in a way that it could also be used as food storage containers,” said the inventors. “Such plates would allow individuals to store, transport, reheat, and re-serve leftover food, thus providing an innovative cost alternative to conventional food storage containers."
The original design was submitted to the Chicago office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
