Pittsburgh-based InventHelp attempts to submit an invention, Sim Brick, to companies for review.

"Most people prefer brick homes to vinyl siding," said an inventor from Acworth, Ga. "However, brick homes generally tend to be more expensive. In order to capture the beauty of brick at a fraction of the cost and hassle, I came up with this affordable alternative."

He developed the Sim Brick to allow a home to display an aesthetically appealing brick facade. The material eliminates the hassle and cost of building a brick home. It also saves the environment by utilizing non-biodegradable materials (plastic, rubber from used tires, etc.), putting them to good use. It is designed to be lightweight and easy to transport and install. The invention can be repaired and replaced easily, and it features an affordable design. Additionally, the unit is producible in an array of patterns and colors.

The original design was submitted to the Atlanta office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
