A pair of inventors from Brooklyn, New York wanted a way to more easily dispense smooth food products such as peanut butter, jelly, etc. To that end, they invented the SPREAD STICK, a device that would enable the user to quickly and efficiently spread processed foods.
The SPREAD STICK would be a fully disposable packaging method that would provide little or no cost increase to the food manufacturer. However, it would provide great convenience to the consumer. It would also be lightweight, compact, and easily portable to allow it to be easily transported or stored away.
The inventors were inspired by using a knife to spread peanut butter. “We knew there had to be an easier way,” said the inventors. “We decided to create a packaging device specifically for this purpose.”
The original design was submitted to the Manhattan office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
