"I cannot hold a cane and an umbrella at the same time, which makes it very difficult for me to go out and do things when it is raining," said an inventor from Brooklyn, N.Y. "In order to solve my problem, I came up with this idea."

She developed the patent-pending STEP N COVER to combine the benefits of a cane and an umbrella. The design ensures that you have an umbrella with you wherever you go. The accessory ends the need to hold a cane in one hand and an umbrella in the other. This offers added peace of mind. The umbrella keeps the user protected from inclement weather. Additionally, it is designed for ease of use.

The original design was submitted to the Long Island office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
