The WIDGET Promotes Electrical Safety - Designed by InventHelp Client (CTO-622)

Share Article

InventHelp, based in Pittsburgh, Pa., is submitting the WIDGET to companies for their consideration and potential feedback.

An inventor and electrician from Bristol, Conn., has developed an idea that pays off in electrical safety for homes and other structures. "After 12 years of wrapping electrical tape around components of electrical outlets and switches to promote safety, I’ve decided that there needs to be an easier, cleaner and more effective way to do this," he said.

He then created a prototype of the easy-to-use WIDGET, a device that promotes safety for electrical outlets and switches. It helps prevent short circuits and injuries caused by contact with bare terminals and wires, as well as helps prevent sparks and fires. The device is suitable for facility-maintenance crews, electricians and DIYers. The idea is patent pending.

The original design was submitted to the Connecticut office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
