When hauling cargo on a truck trailer, it can sometimes be difficult to find a return load and the driver may be forced to drive back home with an empty trailer. To combat this problem, an inventor from Conyers, Ga., has created a prototype of the Transformer Trailer.

His invention provides versatility and convenience when hauling different types of cargo, which eliminates the need to limit the trailer to certain types of loads or return with an empty trailer. It saves unnecessary wear and tear on the tractor-trailer that normally occurs when traveling empty and improves the overall efficiency of the trucking operation.

It better accommodates the particular load to be carried. Plus, it is readily adaptable to the ever-changing requirements of the truck driver, which saves time for truckers while also boosting profits for the trucking company.

When asked what inspired his idea, he explained, "I'm an owner and operator of a truck and I was inspired to develop the idea because I wanted to find a way to improve efficiency and productivity for professional truck drivers, while also maximizing company profits. My invention reduces the need to ever have to drive an empty truck."

The original design was submitted to the Atlanta office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
