Make sure when you sell something, that you capture the customer’s details because this will be your number one traffic source.”
Aside from capturing essential customer details, Schramko also emphasizes the need to place trackable links that integrate with analytics to effectively confirm whether one email is doing what it’s meant to do, which is either to promote or sell a product or entice more traffic to a website. This will also enable any online or offline business owner to determine which traffic figures are dropping off and leaving, and which ones can be persuaded into becoming bigger buyers.
The Internet marketing expert says, “If you’re using services like Aweber or Office AutoPilot, a lot of them will have the ability to either split test, broadcast sequences — or you can also use the reporting facilities that show where your customers unsubscribe in a series of emails. You’ll want to go back in and then modify those emails where people drop off. Now in Aweber, it’s quite easy going to the reporting features. In Office Autopilot they allow you to have A, B, C, D split test on sequential follow-ups. You can actually let people take a different path and find out which one is getting you the best results.”
In addition to looking at visitor flow, Schramko states that traffic conversion can also occur through forum signature, his second high-converting traffic source. He remarks, “Forums are where people go for their common interests… they’re a strong community and you can earn credit and you can earn trust by continually posting good solutions.”
