Five New Water Stocks Added to Janney Water Index in Quarterly Rebalancing; Five Stocks Deleted
Two New Stocks Added to Janney Water Tech; Three Stocks Added to Janney Water Works
New York (PRWEB) June 18, 2008 -- The Janney Water Index (TICKER: JGI) will add five new components, effective 6:00 PM (EST) Sunday, June 22. As a result, five stocks will be deleted from the index. The changes result from the index’s quarterly rebalancing. A complete list of constituents and weights will be posted on the Janney Index web site on Monday, June 23 (http://janney.snetglobalindexes.com/indexes_JGI.html).
The Janney Water Index is a capitalization-weighted, float adjusted index of 60 of the most prominent water stocks in the world. To be included in the JGI, stocks must pass multiple screens, including for capitalization, float, exchange listing, share price and turnover.
The two additions to the Janney Water Tech Index are Hyflux (TICKER: HYF SP) and Gorman-Rupp (TICKER: GRC), while Dong Yang Steel Pipe (TICKER: 008970 KS) and Basin Water (TICKER: BWTR US) will be deleted.
The three additions to the Janney Water Works Index are American Water Works (TICKER: AWK), Tap Water Supply (TTW) (TICKER: TTW TB), and Aguas Andinas (TICKER: AGUAS/ACI). As a result, Artesian (TICKER: ARTNA US), Pennichuck Water (TICKER: PNNW), and Eastern Water (TICKER: EASTW TB) will be deleted from the index.
