Jenzabar Introduces e-Racer as its Next Generation Learning Environment

Jenzabar's e-Racer reflects the next generation of e-learning technology that enables higher education institutions to rapidly and easily respond to the ever-changing demands of the modern educational environment.
e-Racer supports active participation, collaboration, and information exchange with anytime, anywhere accessibility to improve course delivery within the e-learning environment. e-Racer cultivates student engagement and creates learning communities between faculty and students, and among students themselves, through new media and social learning tools. The software has been designed for interoperability, enabling institutions to easily incorporate new learning tools as they emerge and become available. To achieve this model of interoperability for e-Racer, Jenzabar is actively participating with the IMS Global Learning Consortium, a nonprofit member organization that strives to enable the growth and impact of open learning technology standards.

e-Racer serves as a platform for students and faculty to post, share, and showcase information and become more engaged in the learning process. Additional features permit faculty to easily create, customize, and manage their courses, including handling administrative tasks such as the ability to submit mid-term and final grades directly from the course gradebook to the Jenzabar student information system.
The course management system is built on the framework of Jenzabar's Internet Campus Solution (JICS), an award-winning Internet portal designed exclusively for higher education. Through the portal technology, e-Racer provides a single point of access to self-service learning for students, faculty, and administration. Together, the academic and administrative systems allow automatic grade entry into the student record, simple importing of course content, and valuable data analysis. With the flexibility of the JICS portal, clients can customize the user interface to match the institutional brand.
Jenzabar clients using the former Jenzabar LMS with Jenzabar student administrative systems and business office systems will continue to benefit from tight integration between their current course management system and their Jenzabar enterprise solutions, and will now have the option of upgrading to e-Racer.
