Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 30, 2013
Janice Stevenson, designer/owner, Jewels2Luv (http://www.jewels2luv.com) of Bellaire, TX, has received word from The Artisan Group that her “Delicate Pearl Necklace” will be worn by Linette (Cybill Shepherd) on Episode 205 of “The Client List,” airing in early 2013.
Dorothy Amos, Jennifer Love Hewitt’s long-time stylist and the costume designer for "The Client List," received Jewels2Luv’s “Delicate Pearl Necklace” as part of a Stylist Gift Bag initiative spearheaded by art promotions and celebrity gifting company The Artisan Group.
Valerie Guerrero, founder of The Artisan Group, sent the gift bag, which included jewelry and accessories from 60 of the Group’s 600+ members, to Amos in mid-December. To date, Amos has selected several items for possible use in upcoming episodes, including Stevenson’s.
The opportunity to put an item in the Stylist Gift Bag for "The Client List" was one Stevenson jumped on, even though she had only joined the by-invitation-only Group in November.
“I’m a big fan of "The Client List" so deciding to participate in the gifting was easy,” said the Houston area jewelry designer. “The bigger challenge was deciding what to design. I’ve noticed over time that while the wardrobe choices on the show may be eye-catching, the jewelry is usually pretty minimal design-wise. So, I worked hard to come up with a design that would echo Dorothy Amos’ stylistic point of view.” Watch a Jewels2Luv video.
The result was Stevenson’s “Delicate Pearl Necklace,” a freshwater pearl that is hand-wrapped with gold wire and hangs on a delicate, gold filled chain. For Stevenson, the pearl necklace embodies simple elegance—but with a twist; perfect for the show.
Every piece of Jewels2Luv jewelry is meticulously handcrafted by Stevenson in sterling silver, 14k gold filled and semi-precious and precious gemstones. She describes her designs as timeless, modern, chic, elegant and versatile and says her “Wire Wrapped Collection” to which the “Delicate Pearl Necklace” belongs, is undoubtedly the most popular with her customers, in part because of the unusual wire-wrapped fabrication technique.
“No matter the fabrication technique, I design jewelry that I would like to wear,” says Stevenson when asked about her design inspirations. “Jewels2Luv necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings are refined enough to wear to a cocktail party or to a business meeting yet casual enough to sport at the ball field. One thing I’m not huge on is super-large, statement pieces – my pieces can be bold but they are always smaller in scale. I design to appeal to the woman who wants to wear her jewelry, not have her jewelry wear her.”
Stevenson, who is also an accomplished interior designer, founded Jewels2Luv in early 2012 but has been designing jewelry for nearly 15 years. Besides appearing on "The Client List," Jewels2Luv jewelry is on its way to Los Angeles, where it will be gifted to the select members of the press at GBK’s Gift Lounge in Honor of the 2013 Academy Awards Nominees and Presenters.
