John Wright Retracts Complaints and Substantiates United Law Group's Allegations that Banks Are Misleading Honest Citizens

John Wright retracted his complaints against United Law Group. Wright recounts his experience with United Law Group and his lender, Bank of America subsidiary Countrywide Home Loans, in a video statement.

Irvine, CA (Vocus/PRWEB ) May 14, 2009 -- United Law Group, the leading provider of legal foreclosure prevention and foreclosure litigation services today announced that John Wright of Tracy, CA released a statement retracting his earlier complaints against the firm.

According to John Wright's video statement, "I tried to modify my loan on my own through Countrywide. I thought I could do this but they weren't cooperating very much. I felt swept under the rug. I needed help. I needed an attorney."

Mr. Wright retained United Law Group to represent him. A short while later Mr. Wright contacted Countrywide to inquire about the status of his loan.

"When I spoke to Countrywide I asked if they knew who United Law Group was and they said, 'No, they didn't.'" continued Mr. Wright. "They put me on hold for about five minutes said they were going check with their legal department. Countrywide came back on phone and said, 'Listen, we've never heard of them, we think you got scammed.'"

That conversation prompted Mr. Wright to post his grievances on RipoffReport.com and ComplaintBoard.com.

"I thought United Law Group was the one who lied to me. Come to find out not more than two days after dealing with Countrywide and the online thing I got a letter stating United Law Group was representing me, from Countrywide," continued Mr. Wright. "I realized that the ones who lied were not United Law Group. It was my lender who I had a relationship with, who I never anticipated would lie to me. They caused me a lot of grief."

United Law Group has since filed a complaint against Bank of America and its subsidiary Countrywide Home Loans, Inc. for unfair business practices (CA case number 30-2009 00121999) alleging that the lender preys on people's fears by offering misleading statements.

"These actions are indicative of a bigger, systemic problem that is pervasive with lenders," said Sean Rutledge, Managing Director for United Law Group. "They take the attitude that the borrower's rights don't matter. In Mr. Wright's case they deliberately mislead him to believe that our firm never contacted them."

The complaint against Bank of America subsidiary Countrywide Home Loans alleges that their representations, statements and recommendations resulted in undue distress for United Law Group's clients.

"It's time someone stood up for those who have been hurt by this crisis," said Rutledge. "We represent people who are in fear of losing their homes. Unethical business practices like this damage more than our reputation. They hurt the very people that need protection."

United Law Group takes an aggressive stance against predatory lending practices and is an outspoken advocate on behalf of honest citizens who have been hurt by the housing and mortgage crisis.
