“Deception of Seven Sacred Vows: Saat Phero Se Dhokha” (published by AuthorHouse) is a popular novel originally written in Hindi by Kamlesh Chauhan. It has now been translated and published in English. Although the novel is a fictitious work, it is based closely on Chauhan’s life and others like hers. She has made a goal to spread her story and help people who suffer similar fates.
With her parent’s blessing, Chauhan moved from India to marry an American non-resident Indian (NRI) to live her dream life. However, with her husband’s work primarily on the road, she struggled to raise her children on her own. “Deception of Seven Sacred Vows” follows a female protagonist that lives a similar life. It explains the dangers of not standing up for one’s self and taking care of relationship issues before they are unchangeable. It also touches on helping suffering kids who are brought into their parents’ dysfunctional lives.
“Now being published in English,” says Chauhan, “my book will be able to reach and help all of the immigrants and others in America who have dealt with similar situations.”
