The 2012 Ninth Annual Edition of the Florida Legal Elite list will be published in the July issue of Florida Trend, recognizing distinguished Florida attorneys deemed by their peers across the state to have achieved a standard of excellence in their profession.

In the Florida Legal Elite peer-review rating process, Florida lawyers are asked to name currently licensed and practicing attorneys whom they hold in the highest regard or would recommend to others. Each nominated attorney receives a score based on the number of votes received, then the list of top vote-getters is vetted against data provided by the Florida Bar and a panel of top Florida attorneys reviews and ensures the integrity of the entire selection process.

Leigh C. Katzman was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1992 and has practiced community association law in the State of Florida for the last 20 years. He is a member of the Florida Bar’s Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section (RPPTL) and also has served on the Bar’s UPL Committee. Selected to the Florida Legal Elite list in the area of Business Law in 2008, he is an active member of the Community Association Institute (CAI).

Alan B. Garfinkel has continuously practiced law in Central Florida for 23 years. A recipient of Martindale Hubbell’s prestigious "AV" rating, rewarding the highest levels of ethical standards and professional excellence among attorneys, he has been named repeatedly to Thomson-Reuters’ peer-review rated Florida “Super Lawyers” list and enjoys a “Superb” rating from AVVO.
