Kitchen Tune-Up, the leading kitchen and bath remodeling franchise, has recognized franchise owners in five states as Certified Home Improvement Professionals. Honored franchisees are Allen Cohen and Jane Albert of Newton, MA, Donna Erickson of Twin Falls, ID, Susan Johnson of Little Rock, AR, Russ and Pam Rysavy of Rapid City, SD, and Russ and Pat Widmer of Myrtle Beach, SC. The advanced home improvement and remodeling certification program for Kitchen Tune-Up franchise owners is designed to ensure the highest level of professionalism and expertise in the kitchen and bath remodeling industry.

CHIP – Certified Home Improvement Professional is a designation that can be earned by individual franchise owners. The certification program was developed by Kitchen Tune-Up in 2009 and is the first of its kind in the industry to recognize remodelers for continued education, training and highest level of professionalism.

Points toward certification can be earned for successfully completing specialized training, serving on task forces or the system’s Advisory Council, conducting training webinars for other owners as well as upholding the company’s eight Trust Points, winning customer service or other national awards and years of experience as a Kitchen Tune-Up owner. Once certified, the business owner can use the CHIP logo in their advertising and on their website, and they receive a distinctive pin to be worn during client consultations or at community and industry events. Owners have three years from the time they register in the program to complete the certification process. To retain certification, owners must earn new points annually, assuring their continued education and growth in the field.

Dave Haglund, Kitchen Tune-Up founder and president, stated “These franchises should be very proud of their accomplishment. Achieving Certified Home Improvement Professional designation demonstrates a strong commitment to continued training and education in the remodeling field. Their enthusiasm and commitment to run the best franchise possible is apparent.”
