New Virtual Web Site, yourLDSneighborhood.com, Targeting Members of the Latter-day Saint or Mormon Community Launched Today

It is the first online resource to comprehensively offer shopping, social networking and information to members of the Latter-day Saint or Mormon community as well as like-minded neighbors. The site intends to reach millions in the English-speaking world.

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) November 19, 2007 -- A web site that targets the Latter-day Saint or Mormon community by offering shopping, social networking, a newsletter jammed with thought-provoking articles, as well as a forum for aspiring artists on one comprehensive site was launched today.

Called yourLDSneighborhood.com, the new online resource is designed like a virtual neighborhood where hundreds of merchants can sell their products and services. Shoppers can stroll through blocks lined with stores, catch interesting articles in the newsstands located around the neighborhood, or interact with bloggers that have similar values.

Salt Lake entrepreneur Gaylen Rust, who created the concept, said, "The goal of yourLDSneighborhood.com is to make it the largest web-based gathering place for those of the Latter-day Saint faith or like-minded neighbors in the English-speaking world." The work of aspiring authors, musicians and artists is featured - along with links to their music tracks, books or art pieces - in a free online newsletter delivered four times a week. The newsletter also carries thought-provoking articles that help families and individuals cope with everyday living.

Bloggers will have active links on streets throughout the neighborhood that invite social interaction. Newsletter articles also link to blog sites for additional exchanges.

"To our knowledge, this is the most extensive web site of its kind and we've structured our rates in such a way that any business - large or small - that meets our advertising standards can afford to sell on the site. We won't charge what most sites do for advertising - such as click-through fees, impressions and other add-on charges," said Rust.

Businesses can reach consumers by sponsoring buildings, store fronts or spaces inside the outlet store as well as booths at the street fair. Landing pages also offer a variety of advertising options from banners and skyscrapers to TV and radio spots.

Technologically, the site was designed with a robust content management system that will make it easy for the neighborhood to periodically have a new look, keeping yourLDSneighborhood.com interesting and fresh.
