“This book is my real life story talking about my 24 years battle with depression, suicide and homosexuality, as well as alcohol for 14 years,” Agius says, “and my victory over all these problems through making Jesus Christ Lord and Savior of my life, who has given me more peace and joy than I could ever imagine.”
An excerpt from “From Death To Blessing”:
“I believe God told me later to pick between Him and Sharon. This was not an easy choice to make. On one hand, I knew God had stopped me from committing suicide by making me feel valuable; on the other hand, even though Sharon hurt me, she was my first ‘real’ girlfriend, and I still loved her. I knew that choosing God was the decision I needed to make. I loved Him more than Sharon. She wanted to still be friends; however, after a lot of prayer, I decided to break it off with her. The Bible clearly says, ‘light and darkness cannot be united as one’ (2 Corinthians 6:14, NIV).”
Agius knows, from personal experience, the power that faith can have in changing one’s life, and he hopes to share that gift with readers. “I want readers to be positively inspired, and to give a relationship with Jesus a go. He is the only one who can change their lives around.”
